When the job eats the week, golf gets squeezed. These routines are built for the time you actually have.

Ten minutes beats zero minutes

A short, focused session several times a week usually keeps your game sharper than one rushed range visit a month. The trick is having a plan before you start.

The 10-minute home routine

  1. 2 minutes: loosen up (hips, shoulders, wrists).
  2. 3 minutes: slow-motion swings, checking one position in a mirror or on your phone.
  3. 3 minutes: half swings into a net, focused on clean contact.
  4. 2 minutes: putting on carpet or a practice green, starting the ball on line.

On the road or between shifts

  • Keep a putter and a few balls in the truck or the bag. A hotel hallway carpet works in a pinch.
  • Grip and setup drills need no ball and no space.
  • Look for 24-hour or late-hour indoor golf facilities near your route.
  • Use rest time for golf content you can learn from, then try it at your next session.

Make the home setup work for your schedule

If you can only practice at 5 a.m. or 11 p.m., a home net and mat (or a full simulator) is the most dependable tee time you'll ever book. Start small:
